Cherokee County, Texas, is located in East Texas. It is bordered on the north by Smith County, on the northeast by Rusk County, on the east by Nacogdoches County, on the southeast by Angelina County, on the southwest by Houston County, on the west by Anderson County, and on the northwest by Henderson County.
