Morris County is in the northern part of East Texas. It is a small county of only 256 square miles and is approximately three times as tall as it is wide. Daingerfield is the county seat and by far the largest city in the county. The other significant cities are Omaha, Naples, Cason, and Lone Star. The Sulphur River forms the northern border of the county. To get from Morris County to Tyler travel south on U.S. 259 through Jenkins, Lone Star, and Cedar Springs to the junction with Highway 155. Turn right on Highway 155 and travel through New Mountain, Gilmont Look-Out and Friendship to Gilmer. In Gilmer turn left on U.S. 271 and bear right onto Highway 155 traveling through Pritchett to Big Sandy. In Big Sandy turn right on Highway 80 and left on Highway 155 through Winona. Pass under Interstate 20 and at the junction with U.S. 271 turn right. U.S. 271 becomes Beckham Avenue in Tyler. As Beckham Avenue reaches the southern portion of Tyler it becomes Highway 110. At the intersection of Highway 110 and Golden Road turn right. Turn right again into the parking lot of the Bank of America building.
