Study: Texas Appellate Courts Becoming Fairer to Plaintiffs

According to a study issued Monday by the Haynes and Boone law firm, litigants in civil disputes that end up in the Texas courts of appeals have been treated much more evenly in 2019 than they were in 2018.

Mothers File First Lawsuit Over Brain Injuries in Youth Football

Two mothers have filed the first federal lawsuit against youth football for brain disease on behalf of child athletes. The women, who filed suit against Pop Warner, are advocating for safety regulations in youth football. The class action lawsuit alleges fraud, negligence misrepresentation, negligent concealment, wrongful death, false advertisement and unfair business practices. It is scheduled to be heard in Los Angeles federal court in January.
