A former Baylor University acrobatics and tumbling coach intends to file a Title IX lawsuit against the school next week, her lawyer told the Tribune-Herald on Thursday. LaPrise Harris-Williams, who left Baylor in 2014 after a three-year stint at the school, attended a pre-lawsuit mediation Thursday and left the meeting unsatisfied, according to her lawyer.

Unruly Flier Ordered to Pay Airline Nearly $100K in Restitution |

A man who disrupted a Hawaiian Airlines flight so much that the plane had to turn around and return to Honolulu last year instead of heading to New York must pay the airline nearly $100,000, a federal judge ruled. New Jersey resident James August was ordered to pay restitution on Monday after he was sentenced to three months of probation in June, the Honolulu Star-Advertiser reported. He pleaded guilty to interfering with flight crew members and flight attendants in February.

South Carolina Couple Sues Amazon Over Eclipse Glasses |

â?? A South Carolina couple is suing online retailer Amazon over what they claim were faulty pairs of eclipse glasses that resulted in eye injuries, headaches and blurry vision. Thomas Corey Payne and Kayla Harris say in court papers filed this week they began experiencing the symptoms after viewing the total solar eclipse Aug. 21 using glasses purchased on Seattle-based Amazon.
On Aug. 10, the retailer began notifying customers via email of a recall of potentially hazardous eclipse glasses it couldnâ??t verify as having been manufactured by reputable companies, but Payne and Harris say they got no such notice. Payne and Harris accuse Amazon of negligence and unfair trade practices and seek class-action status.
