Since 2010, tainted Blue Bell products sickened at least 13 people, including three who died after being hospitalized with other illnesses, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Findings by the FDA and a private laboratory showed sanitation failures at Brenham extended to plants in Oklahoma and Alabama. The woman, who is black, was driving her BMW when she was pulled over by police for driving without her hands on the wheel. According to the lawsuit, the woman was placed in a mental hospital for eight days after the incident where she was given lithium and injected with powerful sedatives. The lawsuit further contends that the woman was later billed $13,000 for her stay at the facility. Carla Marie Bartlett is among the approximately 3,500 plaintiffs who have sued DuPont in federal court in Ohio, saying they contracted one of six diseases linked to perfluorooctanoic acid, known as PFOA or C-8. Bartlett said she developed kidney cancer from contaminated water. Skin gashes were the most common injury and heads were most commonly injured. The American Academy of Pediatrics says most children don't have the balance or coordination to ride a tricycle until around age 3. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California and names top-selling electronic cigarette-maker Vuse as defendant. The lawsuit alleges that the company has violated California law by failing to label its cigarettes with a health warning, particularly of exposure to formaldehyde and acetaldehyde. The lawsuit alleges deceptive and unfair business practices and a violation of the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act. The student from Bishop Gorman High School in Nevada filed a lawsuit against the 68-year-old doctor after his football career was ended when the doctor operated on the wrong disk in his spine. The plaintiff was awarded $4.2 million in the lawsuit, which alleged medical malpractice and negligence. Colton Lochhead, Las Vegas Review Journal 09/13/2015 | Read Article: Las Vegas Review Journal | Texas Family Files Suit Over Delayed Emergency Medical Care | | The family of a young man from Texas who died at a Houston hospital has filed a lawsuit alleging that hospital staff were more concerned with securing payment than saving the man's life. The wrongful death lawsuit alleges that the 32-year-old man died after waiting for 41 minutes for emergency care while hospital staff attempted to secure payment. The man was seeking emergency medical attention after he began to have an allergic reaction to his medication.
