OH High Court: Apology Expressing Fault Can't Be Used in Lawsuits |

Parents Blame Parachute Defect in Death of Soldier Son |
|
The family of a U.S. Special Forces soldier who died during a skydiving exercise has filed suit against manufacturer of the parachute the soldier was using during the fatal incident. The 29-year-old soldier fell to his death during the training exercise over the Olympic Peninsula in Washington on Sept. 11, 2015. His body was found in the woods after a 10-hour search. The lawsuit filed in Orange County Superior Court on Monday against Airborne Systems North America alleges that a stitching defect in the parachute is to blame for the soldier's death.
