Civil Suit Over Fatal Texas Denny's Fight Moves Forward
spacer
A civil lawsuit against a couple involved in a fatal fight outside a Denny's restaurant in Harris County, Texas, will move forward amidst a criminal case. The civil lawsuit was filed by the family of the man who was killed in the fight in May. Named as defendants in the lawsuit are a former sheriff's deputy and her husband, who are both accused in the lawsuit of causing the man's death. While the case will move forward despite the ongoing criminal trial, the defendants will not be allowed to sit for a deposition for about nine months before the trial is set to start.
