Ban on Sale of Vaping Products in Massachusetts Will Stand For Now

A judge ruled this week that a ban on the sale of vaping products in the state of Massachusetts can stand. However, Suffolk County Superior Court Judge Douglas Wilkins gave the state until Oct. 28 to rewrite the ban. The state now has one week to address issues in the ban indicated by Wilkins. Among other issues, the judge said the order must be resubmitted as an emergency regulation.

Kentucky Residents Sue Juul Over Marketing to Teens

The residents of Kentucky are filing suit against Juul, the maker of the most popular brand of e-cigarette, alleging the company used deceptive marketing practices to attract children and teens. Both lawsuits allege Juul openly marketed its products to teenagers and that the company hid the risks of using the products. The lawsuit is one of more than 100 filed nationwide against manufacturers of vaping products.
