Teacher Reprimanded for Reporting Student Complaint of Sexual Advance |
A former Prosper Independent School District teacher filed a lawsuit Wednesday alleging retaliation after she reported to police that a student told her another teacher made a sexual advance. The teacher, MariBeth Thomas, was castigated by school administrators at a meeting in March, the same day Thomas reported the accusation. Thomas recorded the meeting in which Prosper High School principal Greg Wright told her she should have only told the school district police. The maker of Skippy peanut butter announced on Thursday it is voluntarily recalling certain jars of peanut butter that could contain metal shavings. Fiat Chrysler Recalls About 900K SUVs to Fix Airbags |
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV said it was recalling nearly 900,000 vehicles around the world to fix issues related to airbag deployment and anti-lock braking systems. The company said it was recalling 284,089 model-year 2003 Jeep Liberty and 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokees SUVs in the United States to replace some components linked to the deployment of airbags. Penn. Family Files Suit Against Hospital Over Teen's Death |
The family of a Pennsylvania teenager who died during a cardiac episode has filed a lawsuit against the hospital which treated him in 2011. The 15-year-old basketball player suffered a cardiac episode and was taken to the Easton Hospital, where he was discharged. The boy died the day he was dismissed from the hospital. The lawsuit names as defendants Northampton Hospital LLC (Easton Hospital) and the physician who treated the boy.
