Woman
Accused of Stealing from Houston Target Files Suit |
|
A lawsuit
has been filed against retail giant Target by a Texas woman who was accused of
stealing. An Indian-born Houston resident says she was accused of stealing
when she returned a vacuum cleaner box after finding it did not contain a new
vacuum, but rather was filled with dirty towels, rocks, and a can of chili.
Video surveillance shows a Caucasian man stealing the vacuum and replacing it
with the junk before the plaintiff made her purchase. The lawsuit accuses
Target of discriminating against the woman based on her race.
