A former Boy Scout from Columbia Heights, Minnesota, has filed a lawsuit alleging that he was sexually abused by his scout leader during the 1970s. The lawsuit was filed Monday in Ramsey County District Court and argues that the Boy Scouts of America and the local chapter were negligent for 'failing to adequately supervise the troop leader.' According to the complaint, the plaintiff was abused between the ages of 11 and 16. The alleged abuse took place at the facility where the troop would hold meetings, the lawsuit contends. The defendant has denied the allegations and says it is the first time he has been accused.

Ford Issues Fusion and Mercury Milan Recalls Due to Fuel Tank Issue
spacer image
A recall has been issued on 2010 and 2011 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans due to faulty fuel tanks. According to the recall, the fuel tanks can leak, posing a risk of fire. The recall states that a purge valve has the potential to "cause the pressure to change inside the gas tank. As the pressure increases and decreases, a crack can develop in the top of the tank, allowing fuel to leak." The recall applies to 451,865 vehicles distributed by Ford in North America. Of those vehicles, 411,205 are believed to be in the U.S., 33,605 in Canada and 7,055 in Mexico.

spacer image
When you go to the hospital for an operation, did you know your surgeon might also be performing a procedure on another patient, in a different operating room, over the same scheduled time period? This practice ' 'two patients, two operating rooms, moving back and forth from one to the other' while relying on assistance from general surgeons or trainees ' is called concurrent surgery. It's an open secret in hospitals, but patients rarely hear about it.
