Within a month of taking the supplement, the plaintiff began experiencing abdominal pain, fatigue and nausea, which she discovered was due to hepatitis. The personal injury lawsuit, filed in Hawaii federal court on Tuesday, names the maker of the supplement and the store which sold it to the plaintiff as defendants.
