Lawsuit Alleges Michigan Priest Groomed and Molested Boy | | A lawsuit against a Michigan priest alleging the sexual abuse of a boy has moved from federal court to state court. The lawsuit was filed against Rev. Robert J. "Father Bob" DeLand Jr. and the Catholic Diocese of Saginaw on behalf of a minor identified as John Doe and an adult representative. According to the complaint, the priest groomed and molested a teenage boy earlier this year. Also named as defendant in the lawsuit is Bishop Joseph R. Cistone. Family Whose Dog Died in United Airlines Overhead Bin May Sue | | United Airlines could be facing a lawsuit by a family whose dog was killed on a flight from Houston to New York. According to the family, airline staff instructed them to place their dog in an overhead bin, despite the fact that they had an appropriate dog carrier. During the flight, they were prevented from checking on the dog due to turbulence, says the family. Following the dog's death on the flight, a necropsy revealed the cause of death to be suffocation. Autopsy Shows Grand Canyon Helicopter Crash Victims Died in Explosion | | Autopsy reports released in the deaths of three individuals who were killed after a helicopter crashed in the Grand Canyon have revealed that the people survived the initial impact, but died when the helicopter exploded. Mohave County Medical Examiner A.L. Mosley reported that the individuals inhaled fatal amounts of smoke and carbon monoxide and were burned across their entire bodies. The bodies were burned beyond recognition. A lawsuit has been filed by the family of one of the crash victims against Papillon and Airbus alleging they failed to install crash-resistant fuel systems in its tour helicopters.
