The lawsuit was filed earlier this month in state court and names the city of Ferguson, Wilson and the former police chief as defendants. The notice of removal was filed this week by Wilson and the former police chief and states that the lawsuit's issues would be better handled in federal court. Over the past several months, FBI agents have interviewed a retired pathologist who alerted J&J about potential problems with morcellators in 2006; a doctor who went public after her own cancer was worsened by the tool in 2013; and a California woman who has collected names of close to 400 patients and families of patients who may have been harmed by the tool, these people said. The lawsuit was filed by the stepchildren of the woman who died in the accident that took place in Malibu, California several months ago. According to the lawsuit, Jenner's vehicle crashed into the woman's car, pushing it into oncoming traffic. The lawsuit alleges "enormous damages and losses" and seeks unspecified damages.
