Jury to Decide Pittsburgh Road Rage Lawsuit |
| A jury in Pittsburgh will decide if the city is at fault in a lawsuit filed against a former police officer over a road rage incident. The lawsuit accuses the off-duty officer of "grabbing the other driver by the throat, chasing him down when he fled and waving his gun around" after a fender-bender. The suit says the city ignored the officer's past behavior and anger problems and was negligent in failing to prevent the incident. Suit: NJ Man Molested at NYC Prep School |
| A former male student at the New York prep school Horace Mann has filed a lawsuit, claiming he was sexually abused by a music teacher hundreds of times over a four-year period. The suit, filed in New Jersey, contends the abuse happened between 1973 and 1977. The plaintiff alleges the teacher plied him with wine before sex, which later led to a dependence on alcohol and drugs. The lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages. Subaru Issues Recall of Cars, SUVs |
| Subaru has issued a recall of more than 47,000 cars and SUVs after it was discovered that the engines may start up on their own unexpectedly. All the vehicles covered in the recall are equipped with an Audiovox remote engine starter accessory. | The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission has filed suit against Toys 'R' Us on behalf of a deaf job applicant. In the suit, the plaintiff claims the company "refused to provide a sign-language interpreter" for the woman during her interview. Suit Filed over Man Killed in Police Chase |
| A widow has filed a lawsuit against the city of Cincinnati over the death of her husband, a cab driver, who was killed during a police chase. The man involved in the police chase ran a red light, striking the victim in his cab, killing him and his passenger.
