Bicyclistsâ?? Injury Risk Could Be Doubled If They Lack Latest Helmets

Urban-style helmets -- which have nearly solid covers with few vents -- and those that havenâ??t adopted the latest anti-concussion technology were more than twice as likely to result in injuries, researchers from Virginia Tech and the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety found in a study released Tuesday.

Class Action

Judge Denies Class Action Status to Microsoft Women Filing Suit

Class action status has been denied to female engineers at Microsoft Corp. who have filed suit against their employer. U.S. District Judge James L. Robart denied class action status to the women filing suit over the male-dominated tech industry. Robart did not elaborate on his decision to deny class action status and stated the ruling would not be public until what it is determined what needs to be redacted or kept private. An appeal of the decision is likely to take place.
