DOJ Settles Border Agent Lawsuit | | The Department of Justice has agreed to settle a lawsuit filed over alleged illegal traffic stops at the U.S./Canada border in Seattle where agents searched for Latinos immigrating illegally. The class-action suit says the border agents have been stopping people under the pretense of a traffic violation to check their immigration status. The terms of the settlement have not been disclosed.
