Woman Files Sexual Harassment Suit Against Schlumberger

A woman who once worked as a field engineer for oil-field services giant Schlumberger has filed a $100 million lawsuit against the company claiming that a male coworker allegedly told others it would be OK for them to break into her bedroom and sexually assault her. The former worker filed the lawsuit Tuesday in federal court in Houston.

Five Black Women File Suit Against TCU Over Racism on Campus

Five black women have filed a lawsuit alleging they experienced racism at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. The lawsuit was originally filed by one woman, and four more Black women had joined the suit as of June 15. The women allege that they experienced racism and degradation at the university and that administrators ignored their reports of discrimination.

Disney World to Blame for College Athlete's Injury, Alleges Lawsuit

Disney World is facing a lawsuit filed by a college athlete who suffered an injury at the theme park. The plaintiff missed a full season of basketball after his Achilles tendon was severed by another patron on a scooter. The lawsuit alleges the incident was the park's fault because scooters are allowed to operate within crowds of pedestrians instead of having their own designated lanes. Further, the company does not train the guests on how to use the scooters safely. The lawsuit seeks $30,000 in damages.

NHTSA Investigates Tesla Touchscreen Failures

NHTSA said Tuesday it had opened an investigation into 63,000 Tesla Model S cars after reports of media control unit failures that led to loss of the use of a touchscreen. The agency said a complete unit failure results in loss of audible and visual touchscreen features, such as infotainment, navigation, and web browsing and loss of rear camera image display when in reverse gear.

Three months ago, the COVID-19 pandemic forced universities to close their doors. With no students, faculty or staff washing their hands and drinking from water fountains, the plumbing has gone almost as unused as the buildings themselves. Stagnant water in buildings made long-vacant due to coronavirus concerns is a health risk.
