A white, female television news anchor from Pittsburgh who was fired over a controversial social media post has filed a lawsuit. The woman lost her job after she posted on Facebook about a "perceived black-on-black crime epidemic in the United States." Her post on social media came two weeks after the news anchor covered a story a mass shooting at a backyard barbecue that left four people injured and six dead. The posting was perceived by many as racist and she was fired just days later. However, she alleges in the recent lawsuit that her termination was in violation of the Civil Rights Act.

Investigators with the VA's Office of Inspector General concluded that two former scheduling supervisors and the current director of two Community Based Outpatient Clinics in Houston had instructed staff to record appointment changes as if the patient had canceled, even when the VA initiated the change, according to a report released Monday.
