Lawsuit Against United Airlines Filed by Passenger Shoved at IAH in Houston |

A Houston attorney is suing United Airlines in state District Court in Harris County, alleging that an employee at Bush Intercontinental Airport "suddenly, unexpectedly and violently" injured him during an incident two years ago. Ronald Tigner, who was 71 at the time, alleges in the lawsuit that he was traveling through Bush Intercontinental on July 21, 2015, and received an illegible boarding pass. He claims he was trying to get a new one when the employee pushed Tigner to the ground. His attorney said Tigner was knocked unconscious and later taken to the hospital by an ambulance.

Five Flint Officials Charged with Involuntary Manslaughter in Water Crisis |

Five Flint, Michigan officials have been charged with involuntary manslaughter in connection with the city's water crisis. On Wednesday, the individuals, including the head of the state's health department were charged with involuntary manslaughter. The city's lead water pipes have been traced to lead poisoning in children and a number of Legionnaire's disease deaths over the last few years. The five recently charged officials are among 15 current and former state and local officials facing criminal charges as the 17-month long investigation continues.

Jury Awards $2M to Granddaughter of Televangelist in Rape Case |

A woman who alleged that she was raped by a California church employee when she was a girl has been awarded $2 million by a jury. The plaintiff, the granddaughter of late televangelist Jan Crouch, alleged in the lawsuit that her sexual assault was covered up by the church. After eight hours of deliberation, the jury stated that the plaintiff's grandmother, the creator of the Trinity Broadcasting Network empire, blamed and berated the plaintiff after she reported the assault. The woman's attorney says that the award will cover past and future therapy and other expenses.

Inadvertent Air Bag Deployment Triggers Fiat Chrysler Minivan Recall |

Fiat Chrysler said Thursday that it would recall nearly 300,000 minivans in North America to fix air bags that could inadvertently deploy and have been blamed for at least eight injuries. The recall affects the 2011 and 2012 model-year Dodge Grand Caravan, with 209,135 vehicles located in the U.S. and 87,703 in Canada.

Mediation Fails Second Time in Kevin Ward Jr. Death Lawsuit |

Mediation has failed a second time in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the parents of Kevin Ward Jr. against former NASCAR driver Tony Stewart. Both parties participated in a mandatory mediation session June 6 before Judge Glenn Norton, but no resolution was reached according to court records. A previous mediation session on April 18 before Norton also failed to reach a resolution. Judge David N. Hurd will hear Stewart's motion for dismissal in United States District Court in Utica, New York on June 23.
