Bird Scooters Facing Lawsuit By Mechanic Injured During Brake Failure |
|
A mechanic has filed a lawsuit against Bird Scooters alleging she was injured while working on one of the company's scooters. According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff was riding the defective scooter to test it when the brakes malfunctioned and she was sent flying down the sidewalk. When the plaintiff couldn't stop the scooter, she fell, breaking her arm and collarbone, while also hitting her head. The plaintiff alleges that a visual inspection and a test drive were the only ways to determine the cause of a malfunction.
