Family Sues Texas Vet Accused of Euthanizing Their Dog By Mistake

A Texas vet is facing a lawsuit filed by a family who says their dog was mistakenly euthanized. According to the family, their dog was taken to The Crystal Mountain Animal Hospital in Austin, Texas, to be spayed but was euthanized by mistake. The lawsuit states they received an email from a vet employee intended for another employee stating that the dog had been euthanized, but the doctor has not provided them with a proper answer about what happened to their beloved pet.

Texas Fishing Captain Faces Lawsuit Over Crewman's Injuries

A Texas fishing captain is facing a lawsuit over alleged injuries to a Louisiana man who worked on his boat. The lawsuit alleges the plaintiff suffered injuries resulting from the negligence and unseaworthiness of the ship's captain. As alleged in the complaint, the plaintiff was injured by falling equipment when the captain turned on the ship's winch without warning the crew. Filed in the Galveston County District Court, the lawsuit alleges violations of the Jones Act, which protects seamen injured in the course of their employment.
