Lawsuit Says Colorado Springs Officers Racially Profiled De'Von Bailey Before Fatal Shooting

Colorado Springs, Colorado, has been hit with a lawsuit over the death of De'Von Bailey, a black man who was fatally shot by the police last year. The lawsuit, filed Thursday in the U.S. District Court of Colorado in Denver, accuses the Colorado Springs Police Department and two officers of federal civil rights violations. According to the man's estate, represented by his parents, girlfriend, and child, officers used excessive force in killing Bailey and racially profiled him before the shooting.

Widow of Safeway Worker Who Died of COVID-19 Files Lawsuit
 
A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Safeway by the widow of a worker who contracted COVID-19 and died. The lawsuit contends the man became ill while working at a California warehouse distribution center. If Safeway had followed state and federal guidelines, as well as common sense, the worker would not have fallen ill and died, alleges the lawsuit. The lawsuit was filed in Alameda County Superior Court.
