Mother's
Lawsuit Says Apartment Owners Could Have Prevented Drowning of Autistic
Son |
|
The
mother of a Texas boy who drowned at his apartment complex has filed suit
against the apartment owners. In January, the 7-year-old boy drowned in a
retention pond behind the Costa Mariposa apartment complex in Texas City. The
child, who had autism and was non-verbal, unlocked the house door while his
mother was in the restroom. She alleges the complex should have granted her
requests for modified locks in her apartment because it would have prevented
the boy's death.
