Mercy Health Paid Neil Armstrong's Family $6M Settlement After his Death

The Cincinnati Enquirer learned that for two years after Neil Armstrongâ??s death, his two sons threatened a wrongful-death suit against Mercy Health, the largest hospital system in Ohio. They accused the Fairfield hospital of causing a heart complication and triggering a series of grave medical errors. Ultimately, in an agreement filed with Hamilton County Probate Court in September 2014, the hospital system said it did nothing wrong but agreed to pay the Armstrong family $6 million.

FDA Asks Allergan to Recall Textured Breast Implants

Allergan said it was recalling its Biocell textured breast implants and tissue expanders across markets, citing concerns over a rare form of cancer, after the U.S. health agency asked the drugmaker to pull the products. The FDA found the use of these breast implants was tied to increased risk of a rare type of cancer known as breast-implant associated anaplastic large cell lymphoma (BIA-ALCL).
