A lawsuit has been filed against the city of Detroit by the family of an infant who died after a medic allegedly refused to perform CPR. The 8-month-old had been assisted by an oxygen machine since her birth in September and stopped breathing on May 30. According to the lawsuit, when dispatched, the EMT responder contributed to a 19-minute response delay when she parked her vehicle around the corner of the family's home. The child died at the hospital the next day. The family is seeking $1 million for "intentional, extreme and outrageous conduct."

The California Supreme Court on Wednesday denied comedian Bill Cosby's bid for dismissal of a lawsuit accusing him of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl back in 1974. The alleged victim is now in her 50's and says that she was sexually assaulted by Cosby at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles when she was a teen. She is one of more than 40 women who have accused Cosby of sexual assault, most of which cite the use of drugs or alcohol. The lawsuit is one of at least four lawsuits alleging sexual assault by Cosby.
