Immigrant Child Suffers Head Injury At Hands of Bully, Lawsuit Alleges |

A lawsuit was filed on Monday alleging that a child detained by U.S. border agents suffered a head injury while in custody. The lawsuit alleges that the child's head was cracked open when he was bullied by his older roommate. According to the lawsuit, filed in Miami federal court, the older boy tripped the 11-year-old, causing him to hit his head on a bed frame. His mother alleges in the lawsuit that officials at the facility placed the child back in the room with his attacker after he was treated at a hospital. The lawsuit was filed against Illinois-based company, Heartland Human Care Services, Inc., which runs the shelter for immigrant children in Chicago. Monique O. Madan, Miami Herald 07/17/2018 |

Ohio State University Faces Lawsuit Over Doctor's Abuse of Student Athletes |

Two class action lawsuits have been filed against Ohio State University alleging that the school ignored complaints that a doctor was sexually abusing student athletes. The doctor, who has committed suicide, was accused of using his profession to molest young men during his 20-year career with the university. One of the two lawsuits states that 2,500 male student athletes suffered sexual abuse or harassment. Boy Killed by Fallen Basketball Goal, Family Files Suit Against Manufacturer |

The parents of a boy who was fatally crushed by a basketball goal has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against the manufacturer of the basketball goal. The lawsuit was filed in St. Joseph Superior Court on Tuesday. Named as defendant in the complaint is Goalsetter Systems, the manufacturer of the model â??GS60 Wall-Mount" model basketball rim and backboard.
