A California homeowner is facing a $25 million lawsuit over a 2013 wildfire. The federal government filed the lawsuit accusing the homeowner of causing the fire that led to the evacuation of 5,000 people from their homes in the mountains east of Los Angeles. The government says that the defendant's poorly maintained electrical junction box was the cause of the fire which destroyed 43 square miles. A settlement has been reached in a lawsuit against airbag maker Takata over the death of a Florida woman. The case was scheduled to go to trial in October but was settled out of court on Friday. The lawsuit was filed by the family of a 77-year-old woman who died three months ago from injuries she sustained when the Takata airbag inside her 2001 Honda exploded during a 2014 collision.
