Company Prime, Inc. Files Suit Against Amazon |
|
A
trucking company called Prime, Inc., has filed a lawsuit against Amazon over
the use of "Prime" branding on its trucks. The company, based in Springfield,
Missouri, alleges it has suffered "irreparable injury to its business,
reputation and goodwill" due to Amazon's use of the Prime name. The complaint
accuses Amazon of violating federal trademark law and taking advantage of the
goodwill Prime Inc. has established with consumers.

Four
Women Join Pay Gap Lawsuit Against Disney |
|
Four
women have joined a pay gap lawsuit against the Walt Disney Company alleging
gender discrimination. The women and the class-action suit they joined accuse
Disney of gender discrimination at its Hollywood Records music label, its
world-famous theme parks, and other divisions. According to the complaint,
female employees at Disney are paid less than their male counterparts, are
denied promotions, and are given titles that do not match their
responsibilities. The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles last Friday.

Ford
is Recalling 58,000 Focus Cars |
|
The
recall affects some 2012 and 2017 Focus models and some 2013-14 Focus ST
models in North America. The powertrain software in some of these cars may not
work properly, which could deform the fuel tank.
