| Carnival
Corporation Sued Over Bed Bug Infestation on Princess Cruise |
|
A lawsuit
has been filed against Carnival Corporation alleging a Princess Cruises ship
was infested with bed bugs. The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. District Court
in the Central District of California by two passengers on the cruise. As
alleged in the complaint, the plaintiffs suffered "numerous bites and skin
rashes, which caused pain, discomfort, annoyance sleeplessness, inconvenience,
humiliation, anxiety and emotional distress." The lawsuit seeks general
damages of at least $75,000 on multiple counts under both maritime and
California law.
