On Tuesday, a Michigan court heard arguments from Gov. Rick Snyder, two former Flint emergency managers, and other officials who say that they should not be held liable in the Flint water crisis lawsuit. The state is seeking the full dismissal of a lawsuit filed in the state Court of Claims in January 2016. The lawsuit was filed by six residents of Flint on behalf of thousands of other locals who allegedly suffered as a result of the lead-contaminated water. The Michigan Court of Appeals heard arguments in the case which was previously allowed to proceed by Court of Claims Judge Mark T. Boonstra in 2016. Gus Burns, MLive 01/09/2018
