Wisconsin Doctor Performed Unnecessary Surgeries, Says Lawsuit

Over 120,000 pages of documents have been released from a civil lawsuit that accused the Medical College of Wisconsin of knowing that one of its doctors had a history of performing unnecessary surgeries but allowed him to continue working. According to the lawsuit, even after complaints against the doctor continued, including some alleging unconventional surgeries that harmed patients, the doctor was still employed. He was finally let go three months after a civil case was brought against him in U.S. District Court, records show. Allegations in the lawsuit, which were originally sealed, were released in April 2016.
