Family of Parkland Victim Files Suit Against Government, FBI |

The federal government is facing a lawsuit filed by the family of a victim of the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. The parents of the girl, one of 17 people killed in the shooting, has filed a lawsuit against the government and the FBI. According to the complaint, the FBI was aware that the accused gunman in the case spent time collecting the weapons and had the "desire and capability" to carry out the shooting. U.S. Woman Says Mexico-Based Church Trafficked Her for Decades |

A U.S. woman alleges a Mexican-based church and its leaders trafficked her for decades. The lawsuit, filed in California, alleges the 33-year-old woman was groomed from childhood to be a sexual slave by her family members who belonged to the church. For 22 years she was trafficked and abused by the church through California and Mexico until she fled three years ago, the lawsuit contends. Recently filed lawsuits claim the Boy Scouts of America was a magnet for child molesters. Court records have revealed since 1935, the BSA have maintained a secret â??perversion file." Itâ??s a confidential list of Boy Scout leaders and volunteers who have been accused of sexually abusing boys from 1944-2016. Inside the perversion file are more than 7,800 volunteers, members and scout leaders accused of sexual abuse. Blue Valley Hospital Faces Lawsuits Over Post-Surgery Patient Deaths |

Blue Valley Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas, is facing lawsuits over the deaths of two patients. The families of the men, who both died after undergoing surgery at the hospital, have filed suit accusing the hospital and its staff of negligence. According to the complaints, the men's deaths came at a time when the hospital was in peril of losing its Medicare certification because it didnâ??t have a sufficient number of inpatients, causing them to perform surgeries they otherwise would not.
