The University of Tennessee is facing a lawsuit by six women who allege the school does little to help victims of sexual assault. According to the recently filed lawsuit, the university has allowed a culture of sexual assault, especially surrounding its student athletes. The lawsuit alleges that the school forces those who file sexual assault complaints to follow an unusual adjudication process that is biased against victims. The lawsuit alleges a violation of Title IX laws, which protect students from gender discrimination in federally funded education programs.
