The lawsuit contends that the girl was poisoned by the city's water supply because officials failed to warn residents. When the girl's blood was tested, it was nearly three times the level of being declared toxic. Lead poisoning in children less than six years old can damage organs, slow development and lead to learning and behavioral problems. The lawsuit names as defendants several State of Michigan and Flint officials, including Gov. Rick Snyder, former Flint emergency manager Darnell Earley and former Flint Mayor Dayne Walling.
