spacer image
A lawsuit has been filed alleging that a California toddler was nearly dismembered by a potty training seat. The lawsuit was filed by the boy's parents in Riverside County Superior Court. According to the complaint, the child was using the 'WeePOD Basix' potty training device in June when his penis became stuck and was nearly dismembered. The parents allege in the lawsuit that the potty training seats were sold and marketed by Target stores as safe, even as both Lionheart and Target were made aware of additional complaints about the product.

Johnson & Johnson and Bayer AG have been ordered to pay $28 million in a lawsuit over a woman's injuries tied to the blood-thinning drug Xarelto. The plaintiff alleged in the complaint that she took Xarelto for more than a year before being hospitalized in 2014 with gastrointestinal bleeding. On Tuesday, a Philadelphia jury ordered J&J and Bayer to $1.8 million in actual damages and $26 million in punitive damages to the plaintiff. This marks the first Xarelto case that did not go in favor of Johnson & Johnson and Bayer. The first three cases to come to trial in federal courts in Louisiana and Mississippi ended in favor of the defendants.
