Coli recall that began when Costco chicken salad was discovered to be contaminated has expanded to include the recall of more than 150,000 products for sale at grocery stores and major retailers such as Walmart, Target and Costco. The Food and Drug Administration recently announced that it was expanding the recall to include all celery from Taylor Farms Pacific Inc. of Tracy, California. The FDA stated that it was issuing the recall out of "abundance of caution," due to a celery and onion diced blend that tested positive for E. coli, a bacteria that can cause severe illness.
