A motion filed this week in an ongoing federal lawsuit against Baylor University alleges that high-ranking officials ' including former president and chancellor Ken Starr ' helped a student they knew had been accused of sexual harassment. The accused student, the motion claims, had a close relationship with Starr and other Baylor leaders, and was employed on campus in a capacity where he oversaw female students and worked on Title IX initiatives. That's the federal statute that bans discrimination against women on campus.

A lawsuit has been filed against a number of tech companies alleging that they participated in age discrimination through Facebook recruitment ads. The lawsuit was filed by a communications industry labor union which says that T-Mobile U.S. Inc., Amazon.com Inc. and Cox Communications Inc. discriminated against some potential applicants. The lawsuit states that the companies discriminated against older applicants by placing an age restriction on those who could see the recruitment ads on Facebook. The lawsuit is the latest complaint to target Facebook for its so-called micro-targeting of audiences.

The lawsuit was filed against the couple by the family of one of the victims who was killed by the plaintiffs' 20-year-old son. The wrongful death lawsuit was filed in Philadelphia Common Pleas Court and alleges that the plaintiffs were responsible for their son using the gun to kill and then bury four people. The plaintiffs' son and his cousin both pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of criminal homicide, abuse of corpse, robbery and conspiracy, as well as possession of instruments of crime and firearms charges.
