Monsanto operated a â??fusion centerâ?? to monitor and discredit journalists and activists, and targeted a reporter who wrote a critical book on the company, documents reveal. The documents, mostly from 2015 to 2017, were disclosed as part of an ongoing court battle on the health hazards of the companyâ??s Roundup weedkiller.

Tesla Sued Over Reduced Car Battery Capacity

A lawsuit has been filed against electric vehicle maker Tesla alleging that the company limited the capacity of car batteries through software updates. The lawsuit was filed by a Tesla owner who says the company used the software update to avoid a costly recall of what the lawsuit alleges are faulty batteries. The lawsuit was filed on Wednesday in Northern California federal court and seeks class action status for the potentially "thousands" of Tesla Model S and X owners worldwide.

Ford Recall: 2020 Explorer, Lincoln Aviator
Ford Motor Co. issued a safety alert for the 2020 Explorer and Lincoln Aviator SUVs on Wednesday, noting that the vehicles may be missing a part that keeps the car from moving while parked, "increasing the risk of crash." The vehicles may be missing the manual park release cover, which is not a minor issue.

$6M Jury Verdict in Death of Mother Following Childbirth
The family of a Wichita, Kansas, middle school teacher who died after giving birth will receive $6 million. The woman suffered from a pulmonary edema and died hours after giving birth to her son four years ago. Her family accused the staff at Wesley hospital's emergency room of failing to immediately report and treat the mother's breathing problems when she first mentioned them.

Human Error Led to Death of Contractor by Train in Atlanta, Say Feds

National Transportation Safety Board says that human error led to the death of a contractor hit by a train in Atlanta. The MARTA contractor was fatally struck by a train last year near Medical Center station. According to the NTSB, an employee responsible for ensuring the victim's safety failed to follow numerous safety procedures. The train operator was also at fault, according to the federal investigation. A lawsuit has been filed by the man's family in Fulton County Superior Court.
