Suit: Teachers Fired for Being Jehovah's Witnesses |
| Two former teachers in Florida’s Lee County School District have filed a lawsuit against the district, claiming they were fired after school officials learned they were Jehovah's Witnesses. The plaintiffs claim the school principal tried to force them to participate in a staff-wide "Christian" activity and then took steps to ensure they were not rehired at the end of their contracts. The plaintiffs are seeking back-pay and possible reinstatement within the district. Sabina Bhasin, Naples News 08/30/2012 | Read Article: Naples News |
