The young boy was found dead in the water after riding a giant water slide at the park on Sunday. On Monday, police released a statement that the 10-year-old boy was found to have died of a fatal neck injury while on the ride with two other passengers. Neither of the two women on the ride with the boy sustained major injuries. The lawsuit was filed in U.S. District Court in Missouri on behalf of four people who were prosecuted following protests and civil unrest in the St. Louis suburb in 2014. According to the complaint, the plaintiffs' rights were violated when they were arrested and prosecuted without evidence. The plaintiffs were arrested days after the highly-publicized death of Michael Brown, a black teenager killed in August 2014 by a police officer. The lawsuit, filed Monday in U.S. District Court in Denver, alleges that company executives allowed the company to lose money by failing to prevent the restaurants from being contaminated. Chipotle restaurants were responsible for sickening customers across the country, an act that could have been prevented by quality-control and emergency-response measures, the lawsuit alleges. The jury found PG&E guilty of obstruction and five of 11 counts of pipeline safety violations, including failing to gather information to evaluate potential gas line threats and deliberately not classifying a gas line as high risk.
