Ransomware Hackers Are targeting U.S. Execs
A new study looked at 540 companies with a combined 3 million employees in the U.S., Canada, Germany and the UK. Nearly 40% of the businesses had been hit by ransomware over the last year. The majority of ransom demands range from a few hundred to a few thousand dollars with several companies paying upwards of $10,000 or more. Email was the primary means of attack, with 46% of computers infected by employees unwittingly clicking on a bogus email attachment or a malicious link.

Creators of 'Pokemon Go' App Face Trespassing Lawsuit

The creators of the popular mobile app game "Pokemon Go" are facing a lawsuit over trespassing. The lawsuit was filed by a New Jersey man who alleges players of the game have attempted to get into his backyard in order to play the game. According to the plaintiff, strangers began to linger outside his home after the app was released last month. The lawsuit alleges "at least five people knocked on his door and asked to get into his backyard to catch a Pokemon placed there virtually by the game." The lawsuit was filed in federal court in California.

Another Airbag Maker Is Under Scrutiny After Fatal Rupture

The NHTSA it has opened a formal investigation of bags made by Tennessee based ARC Automotive. The supplier came under heightened scrutiny after a rupture in one of its bags was linked to the death of a driver in Canada last month.
