Tesla Hit With Lawsuit Over Fatal Pedestrian Incident | | Tesla has been hit with a lawsuit filed by the family of a Japanese man who was fatally struck by a car in California in April 2018. The complaint was filed in a San Jose federal court on Tuesday and contends the car that struck the man "suddenly accelerated" when a car in front of it switched lanes. The driver of the Tesla was "found to have been dozing shortly before the crash," according to the complaint. Tesla is accused of defective design, failing to warn, negligence, and wrongful death.
