Her lawsuit accuses Adair Grain, Inc., of negligence in the operation of the facility, "creating an unreasonably dangerous condition, which led to the fire and explosion." The woman lived in an apartment next to the plant, and is seeking up to $1 million in relief. A second suit has also been filed by four insurance companies on behalf of local residents and businesses including a local car dealer. The suit says the Dollar uses confusing language to lead customers into believing they are signing forms declining coverage when in fact they are accepting the coverage, which is a $25 fee per day. The largest portion of the recall will be 120,000 Chrysler 300s, and Dodge Challenger and Chargers due to issues with airbags. The company will also recall Dodge Nitro, Jeep Liberty and Patriots and Dodge Rams over various issues. In 2009, an employee of Joyce Meyer Ministries murdered his wife and two sons. The plaintiffs in the suit contend that Joyce Meyer Ministries "did nothing to investigate threats against [the murderer's] family and didn't warn [his wife]." This information will be publicly available starting in 2014. The intent of the act is to help reduce potential conflicts of interest for physicians or teaching hospitals that may have financial relationships with these for-profit companies—and the new regulations will certainly help shed light on the magnitude of the problem.
