Wrongful Death Suit Filed by Families of Kobe Bryant Crash Victims

The families of helicopter crash victims who were killed, along with basketball star Kobe Bryant, have filed a lawsuit against the owner of the helicopter. The company, Island Express, was "negligent and careless, in regards to owning, leasing, managing, maintaining, controlling, entrusting, chartering, and operating" the helicopter, alleges the complaint. The plaintiffs seek wrongful death damages, funeral and burial expenses and "all other damages by law."

Missouri Is First State to Sue China Over Coronavirus
 
Missouri has become the first state to file suit against China over the spread of the coronavirus. The virus originated in Wuhan, China, and has since infected more than 2.5 million people worldwide. The lawsuit was filed against Beijing by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt in the Eastern District of Missouri and seeks damages to make up for the enormous loss of life, human suffering, and economic turmoil.

Texas Will Not Release Information on Coronavirus Clusters at State-Run Homes for Texans With Disabilities
 
None of the 13 state supported living centers =E2=80=94 which house about 3,000 vulnerable Texans and employ 13,000 staff members =E2=80=94 provided case counts to The Texas Tribune. Eleven of the centers did not respond, and two directed inquiries to state officials. The local health department in Denton County stands out as the lone agency providing daily updates about the cluster of cases at the Denton home.
