Wrongful Death Suit Filed by Families of Kobe Bryant Crash Victims | | The families of helicopter crash victims who were killed, along with basketball star Kobe Bryant, have filed a lawsuit against the owner of the helicopter. The company, Island Express, was "negligent and careless, in regards to owning, leasing, managing, maintaining, controlling, entrusting, chartering, and operating" the helicopter, alleges the complaint. Missouri Is First State to Sue China Over Coronavirus | | Missouri has become the first state to file suit against China over the spread of the coronavirus. The virus originated in Wuhan, China, and has since infected more than 2.5 million people worldwide. The lawsuit was filed against Beijing by Missouri Attorney General Eric Schmitt in the Eastern District of Missouri and seeks damages to make up for the enormous loss of life, human suffering, and economic turmoil.
