Lawsuit: Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, Postmates Charging 'Exorbitant' Fees | | Uber Eats, Grubhub, DoorDash, and Postmates are accused in a new lawsuit of using their "monopoly power" to charge restaurants "exorbitant" commission fees. The complaint was filed in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York on Monday. The three plaintiffs allege the defendants are charging fees of anywhere between 13.5% to 40%, while the average restaurant's profit ranges from 3% to 9% of revenue. Southwest Sued for Failing to Refund Passengers for Cancelled Flights | | Would-be travelers have filed suit against Southwest Airlines alleging the company has failed to provide refunds for flights canceled amid the coronavirus pandemic. The federal lawsuit was filed on Monday in Pennsylvania and cites the airline's contract with customers, which states Southwest will refund the fare "in accordance with the form of payment utilized for the Ticket." Lawsuit: Man Died After Cruise, He Wasn't Aware Coronavirus Was on Board | | A Crowley, Texas woman sued Princess Cruise Lines this week, alleging the company knowingly exposed her and her husband to the novel coronavirus in February, which resulted in his death. At least seven people who have sailed on a Princess Cruise Lines ship have died of COVID-19, according to the lawsuit, filed Tuesday in U.S. District Court for the Central District of California.
