Former Michigan Governor Sued Over Flint Legionnaires' Death

A federal judge has ruled that former Michigan governor Rick Snyder will face a lawsuit filed by the estate of a woman who died of Legionnaires' disease during the Flint water crisis. U.S. District Court Judge Judith E. Levy dismissed some of the lawsuit's claims but will allow those against the former governor, certain employees of the state Department of Environment, Great Lakes & Energy and others. The lawsuit alleges the defendants violated Flint residents' "bodily integrity" by exposing them to contaminated water and hiding what they knew about it.
