School Files Suit Against Miami Beach Hotel Over Cancellation |
|
A Jewish
school in New York City has filed suit against a Miami Beach hotel over the
cancellation of a trip. The plaintiffs are seeking a $2.3 million
reimbursement for the over 600 rooms they planned to occupy during the
Passover holiday at the Eden Roc hotel. According to the lawsuit, the hotel is
refusing to refund the group and has insisted the trip be rescheduled or
"proceed as scheduled with whomever was foolhardy enough to travel from New
York to Miami Beach for the Passover 2020 event."

Closures Prompt Many Class Action Cases |
|
With the
spread of COVID-19 and subsequent closures, many are filing suit over the
inability to use or obtain a refund for services no longer offered. These
include lawsuits filed over gym memberships, student housing, and festival
tickets, among others. Town Sports International, LLC, the company operating
the prominent gym franchise New York Sports Club (NYSC), 24 Hour Fitness and
several universities in Arizona are just a few of the defendants in such
cases.

Thousands
Say DevaCurl Caused Damage and Hair Loss |
|
Thousands
of consumers are blaming hair care line DevaCurl for problems, including
damaged curls, inflamed scalps, and hair loss.
There are currently at least 10 class action lawsuits pending against the hair
care company. While many have cited issues with company's products, there is
no plan for a recall. However, the company is offering "no-questions-asked
refunds," said a representative.
