Texas Drilling Will Cause More Health Problems, Study Predicts

Within a decade, Texas will lead the nation in sicknesses linked to ozone-forming pollutants from oil and gas activity, according to a new analysis from a pair of environmental groups released Wednesday. The conclusions from Clean Air Task Force and Earthworks — national environmental groups based in Massachusetts and Washington, D.C. respectively —added fuel to a debate about how much oil and gas activity contribute to smog troubles that plague some Texas cities.

Ashley Madison Wants Arbitration Of Data Breach Claims

The company that owns the cheating website Ashley Madison urged a Missouri federal judge on Monday to either kill multidistrict litigation over last summer’s data hack of site users' profiles or send the case to arbitration, saying the users all agreed to resolve any claims outside of court when they signed up for the service.

Breaion King Sues Officer, City of Austin Over Violent Arrest

An Austin teacher Breaion King, whose violent arrest received national attention, filed suit against the city and an officer Tuesday. The suit filed in U.S. District Court includes a number of standard claims involving use-of-force cases, but it also makes additional allegations: that King and her lawyers asked to meet with city officials, including Mayor Steve Adler, after the matter became public, but received no reply.
