A judge has ruled in favor of two families whose loved ones died in an accident caused by a woman under the influence of methadone. Sixth Judicial District Judge Sally Tarnowski recently ruled that the families can seek punitive damages from the clinic which gave methadone to the woman who caused the fatal crash. The lawsuit contends that the clinic did not properly evaluate the woman before giving her methadone, which she injected into her system shortly before causing the collision.
